When it comes to teamwork and positive outcomes, PNANH Katy team leads the way. As a team, the Katy group, worked together and along with the PNANH Education team lead by Ludy DeLeon and Emilyn Gonzales, delivered an impressive Fall Conference. It was a sight to behold the collaboration that lead to a well attended and successful 2016 PNANH Fall Seminar held at Methodist West Hospital. The Executive Board of PNANH is truly proud to see leadership shine in this team.
Meet our president

Jennilyn Lano, BSN, RN-BC, is a nurse of 22 years. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mizamiz University, Philippines in 1993, Jennilyn started as an Emergency Room Nurse in Tomball Regional Hospital in 2002. She is presently a relief charge nurse, resource and preceptor of qf a Medical Surgical Unit at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.With specialty in emergency room nursing , medical surgical and telemetry nursing, the organization is blessed to have elected a leader whose commitment to excellence and in inspiring her constituents will truly guide this organization to the right path. Among the many accomplishments of Jennilyn was serving as shared governance chairman in 2011-2012. Committed to compassionate care, Jennilyn received ICARE resipient award in 2008. She also earned a stroke care giver award in 2015. As part of the 20 original member, Jennilyn served the organization in the capacity of co chairman of membership. Her dedication and talent in recruiting, along with the organzaiton's membership chariman, Delia Bell, PNANH has earned the award of having the 2nd most members at the last national conference in Washignton DC.
Jennileyn is very passionate in leading and serving. Her commitment in developing members to engage and use the organization in enhancing an dpromoting their individual skills. Philippine Nurses Association on North Houston members have been actively involved in their hospitals' commitees. Supported by her husband German Lano, Jenny will surely need every help she can in this journey.

Meet Alexander Oliver, RN, BSN, PCCN currently a staff of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. Alex, a nurse for 11 years, graduated from University of Perpetual Help System in Laguna Philippines. He finished Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 with the honor of Magna Cum Laude. Smart as tack, Oliver worked in Oncology and ICU for 2 years in the Philippines then migrated to the US in 2006. Critical Care Nursing as his passion, Oliver worked in Florida in Step Down Unit then transferred to Texas. He continues to practice in Intermediate Care Unit, showed mastery in his chosen field by becoming a Certified Progressive Care Nurse. He was recently awarded by Good Samaritan Foundation with Bronze Medal Award for his outstanding contribution to nursing and his community. A member of PNA North Houston since 2012, Oliver is one our rising stars. His enthusiasm and friendliness serves as inspiration to other members and officers of the organization. Oliver loves playing chess, watching movies and taking care of his health. If he is not helping others promote healthy life, he spends his time at the gym developing his muscles for a healthy well being.

Meet Kathleen Bugarin, RN, MSN. A new member, and rising star of PNAMH North and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Kathleen graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Manila Doctor's College, Philippines in 1995. Sharp as a wit, Kathleen earned a spot in the Top 20 Highest Scorers of the Philippine Nursing Board Examination, besting thousands of Nurses from all over the country. She came to the United States in 2002 and started working for Doctor's Hospital as Medical Surgical Nurse then moved to MD Anderson Cancer Center as Interventional Radiology Nurse. She has since been promoted as Assistant Nurse Manager. Juggling work, family and school, she successfully earned in 2014 a Master of Science degree in Nursing focus on Leadership. Truly a leader, Kathleen also serves the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of Association of Radiology and Imaging Nurses (TGCC-ARIN) as Treasurer. In 2011, Kathleen presented abstract about Rapid Response Team in Diagnostic Imaging at the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago, Illinois.

Meet Rosanne Darcera-Castillo, RN, BSN, CVRN. A graduate of University of Cebu, Philippines in 2006, Rosanne is a staff of Cardiovascular Care Unit/Intermediate Care Unit at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston. Originally a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2001, Rosanne was inspired to go back to school and study Nursing after caring for her sick father. Following the Nightingale footprints, Rosanne completed Bachelor of Science in Nursing to fulfill her passion for service. An intermediate care nurse for 8 years, her dedication for caring to our patients is consistently aligned with excellence. Recently, Rosanne passed the Cardiovascular RN Certification.

Elaine Ngitit, RN, BSN, CCRN is one of the 6 Outstanding Filipino Nurses of Houston. Besting other candidates all over Houston, Elaine was chosen for her many achievements including a recent poster presentation at the AACN National Teaching Institute on Early Mobility in Denver Colorado. An ICU nurse at Methodist WIllowbrook, ELaine's humility, great sense of patient focus and consistent quality care to her patients are just a few of her outstanding qualities. She currently serves PNAMH North as Assistant Treasurer, Elaine brings enormous wealth of enthusiasm, ideas and friendship.
